Robert Guirguis, DO
Dr. Robert Guirguis is board certified
by the American Board of Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation and the
American Board of Pain Medicine. He
earned his undergraduate degree from
Rutgers University and his doctor of
Osteopathic Medicine degree from New
York College of Osteopathic Medicine,
Old Westbury. Dr. Guirguis completed an Internal
Medicine rotating internship at Union
Hospital, Union, NJ, a residency in
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at
UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical
School Department or Rehabilitation
Medicine/JFK Johnson Rehabilitation
Institute, Edison, NJ, where he served as
administrative chief resident. Dr. Guirguis
completed an Interventional Spine and
Pain Management fellowship at Florida
Spine Institute, Clearwater, FL.
Dr. Guirguis’s practice primarily involves
the use of minimally invasive procedures
for the treatment of pain disorders with
special attention to patient restorative
functioning. His special interest includes
Musculoskeletal, Sports Medicine,
Arthritic Disorders, Spasticity, EMG/Nerve
Conduction Studies and Discogenic
diagnostic procedures.

Kevyn Otero, MD
Dr. John Kevyn Otero is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with additional board certification in Pain Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco and his medical doctorate from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Otero completed his internship at the University of South Florida before embarking on a residency in Psychiatry, also at University of South Florida.
Upon completing his residency, Dr. Otero was accepted into a pain fellowship sponsored by the department of Neurology at University of South Florida, after which he was received by the department of Anesthesia at University of South Florida for a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine. Dr. Otero joined Tampa Pain Relief Center in 2008.
Reflective of his diverse training, Dr. Otero embraces an attitude toward pain management that emphasizes a comprehensive therapeutic approach, utilizing interdisciplinary treatment planning and multi-modal therapies. His practice includes the use of minimally invasive procedures, physical therapeutic modalities and medication management in the treatment of chronic pain. Areas of special interest and emphasis include the interaction between emotional and cognitive states with attendant behavioral changes and pain.

Miguel D. Attias, MD
Dr. Attias is an Anesthesiologist and Interventional
Pain Management Specialist. His extensive
Post-graduate Medical Training, continued updates in the latest
state of the art techniques coupled with a great passion
for his specialty make him a unique physician in this field.
He completed a surgical internship at the New York Hospital
Medical Center of Queens – Weill Medical College of Cornell
University and Anesthesiology residency at St. Elizabeth’s
Medical Center of Boston – TUFTS
University School of Medicine where he
was elected as Chief Resident. He culminated
with a Pain Management Fellowship at the same
institution.
Dr. Attias has expertise in all the areas
of chronic pain, ranging from medication
to interventional management. He has
special interest in Advanced Pain
Management techniques including trialing
and implantation of spinal cord stimulators
and intrathecal programmable drug delivery systems
as well as other forms of Neuromodulation techniques
like peripheral nerve and field stimulation.
He has experience with management of Cancer pain
and other conditions like intractable headaches.
Dr. Attias strongly believes in the team and
Multidisciplinary approach to managing his
patients, therefore he integrates all the patient’s
health providers in the decision making
process guaranteeing in this manner
excellent control of the patient’s pain condition
while maintaining the overall good health.

Hector
J. Cases, MD
Dr. Hector Cases is a Neurologist and Pain Management Specialist. He earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell
University and his medical doctor degree from Central Caribe University of Puerto Rico. He completed his Internal Medicine internship at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City and Neurology residency at New York University Medical Center. He spent 10 years practicing clinical Neurology before pursuing a Pain Management fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa where he retains an appointment as an adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology. Dr. Cases is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Pain Medicine, and the American Board of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Cases believes in the comprehensive approach to Pain Management in order to achieve patient functional restoration with special attention to fitness and wellness. His practice focuses on a wide array of techniques which range from medical management to interventional procedures. He has special interest in application of peripheral nerve stimulators in chronic headaches. |

Douglas
L. Constant, MD
Dr. Constant is a fellowship trained Interventional Pain Medicine Physician who is Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Early in his medical school education at Tulane University in New Orleans, Dr. Constant was excited by definitive treatments that had a positive impact on patients’ lives. While completing his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), he was mentored by an internationally recognized faculty of Anesthesiologists and Pain Physicians. He as well had the honor of being elected Chief Resident by the faculty and his resident colleagues. Following the successful completion of his residency, Dr. Constant moved to Boston for fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at Harvard University’s world-renowned Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center program. Dr. Constant lived on Siesta Key and attended high school in Sarasota and has strong family ties to Florida. He is excited to be a member of Tampa Pain Relief and shares their commitment to provide compassionate and excellent multidisciplinary treatment of pain to the people of this great state.

Alexander F. DeBonet, MD
Dr. DeBonet is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and fellowship trained Interventional Pain Medicine Physician. He earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Bard College in New York and received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. DeBonet completed his Anesthesiology residency at Harvard University’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Following completion of his residency, Dr. DeBonet received his subspecialization training in Pain Medicine at Harvard University, where he completed the Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. DeBonet strongly believes in tailoring therapy to individual patients needs. He works very closely with his patients to develop a care plan that emphasizes safety and balance and utilizes effective multidisciplinary modalities that have a sound basis of evidence. Dr. DeBonet is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. |
